Paris is only steps away in DC. I loved everything about this restaurant. We dined in for brunch with our ten month old and they’ve got it all! We really enjoyed the bread service, fresh oysters and scallop crudo. The chilled seafood was exactly what we needed on a 90 degree day. Since this was our last full meal before our flight we ordered the steak frites and beef bourguignon. Both were excellent and not too heavy for a hot day. They also have a separate kids menu, with a lot of options which is a big plus if you’re traveling with a child!
Wonderful brunch for our anniversary. Everything was great we will be back. My husband got the burger - he saw it on a list of best burgers globally. He loved it! I had the French onion soup and trout. I'd def get the French onion soup again but I'd get a different main. There were lots of options to choose from - we will be back! They did a little dessert for our anniversary too. Thank you!!!
The steak frites were delicious. Fries were perfect and steak was juicy. Got it medium and was a bit more medium rare but still very good! The French onion soup was okay. And they gave us a complimentary creme brulee and it was delicious. Tried the absinthe also and was not a fan but that’s okay. Glad I tried it though. Definitely have to come back if I’m in the area again. Sat outside and was nice. My friend got the chicken and loved it! The sauce on it was really good.
I love this place. It is absolute chaos but that's probably because I am NOT from a big city so very overwhelming but also to be expected. I came here several years ago and I will make a point to come every time I visit DC. MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER. I would imagine you would need reservations for brunch or lunch and not just dinner. It's one of the most popular restaurants in DC and for good reason. This place is crazy busy. I knew we were in for a long wait when they were still accepting reservations near midnight. The earliest we could get reservations was 9:45pm. We got there early thinking we might could be seated early, ummm no. Exactly 9:45 on the dot lol. Place has a line out the door, standing room at the bar and every table is full. The food is amazing!! The creme brulee is to die for. The variety of breads - YES (w/ butter). And the French onion soup *chef's kiss*. The food is phenomenal. Very expensive but so worth it!!!
Dinner was fantastic here! Seriously recommend the steak frites! The mashed potatoes were amazing, the mushroom tart was impressive, the curried chicken salad was a perfect blend of salty and sweet, the fries were fried perfectly, the pistachio raspberry tart was one of the best desserts I’ve had in quite awhile!
dip did not disappoint! the crowd is part of the dining experience, so dressing up is encouraged to fit in. the fried artichoke was perfect and the french onion soup was cheesy and savory. i was expecting a little bit more from the fish special, but the trout amandine was supple and nutty. all in all a lovely experience — accompanied by a fabulous host who gave me a great table; thank you sir.
Lovely, satisfying fench food with delicious cocktails. My husband's family has been visiting for years and it never disappoints. The outdoor atmosphere was especially nice on a beautiful sunny day, however the patio furniture isn't the most comfortable.
We did not have reservation on a Thursday evening but gave it a try and got in. So glad we did. This is a beautiful restaurant with great waitstaff, really nice building, and lively crowd. Our waiter was super and took good care of us. The drinks and food were excellent. There is a bread station and you can watch them cutting fresh loafs for each table. This was a delightful experience and was way above our expectation. Not the cheapest place in town but certainly worth the cost.
